ABORIGINAL YOUTH MOUNTAIN BIKE PROGRAM

The Aboriginal Youth Mountain Bike Program, in collaboration with the Natural Trails Society, the South Island Mountain Bike Society, and Bear Mountain Resort will be hosting a day of mountain bike fun for Aboriginal Youth ages 12 to 24.

Activities will include:Tla'ammin Canoe Journey Poster

  • Mountain bike clinics and instruction with professional instructors
  • Group trail rides on Bear Mountain
  • Dirt Jumping demos by professionals
  • Dirt Jumping lessons
  • Lunch & refreshments provided

To participate, youth must be between 12 and 24, and have a functional mountain bike and a helmet (dirt jump bikes will be appropriate for the bike park). A limited number of mountain bikes will be available for any youth who do not have access to a bike or helmet.

Travel Subsidies: The Aboriginal Sport Recreation and Physical Activity Partnership Council and the Naut’sa Mawt Tribal Council will be providing travel subsidies for youth to attend the event. Please contact the Aboriginal Youth Mountain Bike Program at info@aymbp.ca for more information.
