Comprehensive Community Plan Update

Comprehensive Community Plan Update

Thank you to all that came out to the second round of Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP) workshops! 34 people attended the Campbell River, Nanaimo, Squirrel Cove, and Powell River workshops. It was great to see some new and familiar faces.

The CCP Team created workbooks for round 2 workshops. It contained exercises to review and rank information collected from members to date. This is important because we need to ensure that an encompassing and attainable community plan is created.

Thank you to Caroline Francis, Sharon Francis, and Marlene Hanuse. We appreciate your time and energy spent cooking for our Squirrel Cove dinner on March 1st.

It is crucial to get as much member input as possible while creating the community plan. The CCP is a plan for the Klahoose people, by the Klahoose people.

If you have not had a chance to take part in CCP yet, and you want to, please contact Cheyenne Hope. We can set up other forms of communication for you to share your ideas.

Are you a Klahoose youth between the ages of 14-29 and want to be a part of building a future for Klahoose? This is a call out to youth that want to have their voice heard in CCP. I am looking for youth willing and wanting to build our community plan. If there is a group of excited youth we want to host a gathering! Please contact Cheyenne Hope for more information.

If you are on Facebook, be sure to join our group: Klahoose First Nation CCP.

Comprehensive: all-inclusive: culture & language, education, housing, governance, connection, economic development, health & well-being.

Community: all Klahoose people
