The Indian Residential School Project: Bringing our Learning into the Light

A collaborative engagement workshop with Uyyumun Consulting hosted by ITHA

The Inter-Tribal Health Authority is hosting learning and knowledge generation experiences that focus on:

  • Historic and Ongoing Colonization
  • Intergenerational Trauma
  • Intergenerational Wisdom
  • Pathways Forward

This important work is in response to community requests to broaden the conversations related to residential schools, trauma, and healing.

This event is open to:

  • Residential school survivors and their families
  • Chief & Council, First Nations Community Service Providers: community health nurses, health directors, youth workers, alcohol and drug counsellors, interagency liaisons
  • Those of us who have experienced intergenerational trauma

Two-day Workshop:

Central Region March 6th & 7th Snaw-Naw-As Community Hall

One-Day Workshops:

Northern Region March 15th Wakus Hall, Gwa-Sala-Nakwaxda’xw

North-Central Region March 16th Homalco Community Hall
