Klahoose CCP Newsletter January 2016

Hello Klahoose Members,

Just wanted to let you know that the Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP) is still underway. The first phase of the CCP process was completed in March 2015 and we’re happy to announce that we’re working on fully initiating Phase 2. All Klahoose members are welcome to attend the workshops. Erik and Blaney will be performing at our CCP Launch January 5th, 2016.

Together we need to create an outline of what our priorities are. The CCP is a tool to help us decide on what projects and actions we would like to carry out in the future. These plans will be based on Klahoose values, strengths, needs and opportunities as a Nation.

The CCP will shape Klahoose for generations to come – we need the input of all Klahoose members to make this happen, this includes you. What do we want to change? What do we need to do to keep our children, land, and culture strong?

Steven Brown, Johnny Hanuse, and Cheyenne Hope, Klahoose youth have been hired to lead and support our community process.

In the New Year there will be workshops similar to the Phase 1 process – interactive and fun! There you will have the opportunity to hear about the CCP, a recap of Phase 1, and we will have the opportunity to hear your ideas for Klahoose’s future. It is crucial that members provide as much feedback as possible because that is how a strong comprehensive community plan is created. So please come out and have your voice be heard.
